Bunkers - Physical Supply in the port of Gladstone for Ship Owners & Charterers  -  www.ibsfuels.com

The ASP Group provides physical Bunker Supply and Bunker Trading Services through it's two wholly owned subsidiary companies, namely IBS - International Bunker Supplies and Universal Bunkering (For info please refer to Bunker Sales & Trading Service Solutions).

An outline of our Services and Capabilities are as follows:

IBS - International Bunker Supplies Pty Ltd :

IBS is a physical bunker supplier in the Port of Gladstone, in Central Queensland, Australia. IBS acquired the Gladstone based Marine Fuels business in 2002. The facility was previously owned by BHP and has been in operation since 1991. IBS has a strong commitment to customer service, supplying Quality Marine Fuels and Management of Bulk Liquid Facilities to support our own operations and on behalf of third parties. Our Gladstone bunkering operation is supported by our owned bunker tanker M/T "LARCOM", which supplies Marine fuel at all Gladstone berths and the Bunker only anchorages. M/T "LARCOM" is managed by ASP Ship Management.

M/T "LARCOM" is of double hulled construction, has capacity for up to 3,000mt of heavy fuel, 350mt of diesel and 300mt of freshwater.

Deliveries take place 24 hours per day 7 days per week.

IBS can deliver all grades of marine fuel oil up to HFO 380cst (RMG 380 Specifications) and we also supply marine diesel oil to DMB specifications. Through our own in line blending facilities, we can blend fuel oil down to a viscosity of 30cst, if required.

In 2010 IBS was awarded a contract to manage a bulk fuel facility in Townsville, North Queensland (which was a non-bunker related facility).

Gladstone has a proven track record as an effective bunker only port with the advantage of having the deepest draft for vessels calling for bunkers. There are two anchorages aptly named Outer and Inner Anchorages. The Outer Anchorage has no draft restrictions but is affected by sea conditions. Costs associated with this anchorage are Ships Agency fees only.

The Inner anchorage has a draft restriction of 14 metres (based on departure draft), which is the deepest protected bunker only anchorage in Australia. This anchorage attracts Ships Agency and pilot fees. Tugs are at times required at the Inner Anchorage, depending on vessel size, loaded state, weather, etc.

Gladstone has the lowest bunker only port costs in Australia for both the outer and inner anchorages.
